- Polylactic acid or polylactide called PLA is a thermoplastic aliphatic polyester made of renewable resources like corn or starch. PLA has a relative low melting temperature, 175°C, and is a very hard material. You can use it for the most common prints and is easy to print with.
Temperature settings
- You only can print with the right temperature settings. The temperature setting can be different on your type of extruder. This is depending on the heat transfer from the extruder to the filament so you can use this as guideline but please adjust it to your own extruder.
- Melting temperature: 175 °C
- Nozzle temperature: 190°C - 220°C
- Heated bed temperature: 30°C
